How to take care of cow leather products treated with embossing process?

Imitation animal grain / geometric embossing (deep embossing mainly)
Core risk: deep concave grain is easy to hide dirt, long-term accumulation will lead to grain blackening, loss of three-dimensional sense; high temperature embossing may make the leather surface oil loss, resulting in grain edge dry cracks.
Cleaning method:
Daily dusting: use soft bristle brush (such as horsehair shoe brush) along the direction of the grain light brush, focus on cleaning the dust in the depression (avoid using wet cloth to wipe directly, in order to prevent sewage infiltration of grain).
Deep cleaning: If stained, use a cotton ball dipped in neutral leather cleaner (such as Collonil Vario Spray) to gently press the stained area, wipe horizontally along the grain direction (avoid rubbing in circles to destroy the grain structure), and then use a dry cotton cloth to absorb the moisture after cleaning.
Maintenance focus:
Oil replenishment and crack prevention: every 2-3 months apply a moisturizing leather conditioner (e.g. Saphir Médailon Cream) to the surface of the grain, rubbing gently with the fingertips so that it penetrates into the depressions and prevents the edges of the grain from cracking due to drying out (avoid the gold/silver hot stamping areas to avoid the plating peeling off).
Anti-scratch and wear-resistant: avoid rubbing with rough objects (e.g. denim fabric, sandpaper), wrap with soft cloth when storing to prevent embossing from being scratched by other objects.
2. hot stamping / hot silver embossing (metal plating process)
Core risk: The metal foil layer is easy to fall off due to friction and chemical corrosion, resulting in the grain losing its luster or revealing the base color.
Cleaning contraindications:
Alcohol, solvent-containing cleaners (e.g. nail polish remover) are prohibited to avoid dissolving the plating adhesive.
Avoid using hard brushes or erasers to prevent scratching off the metal layer.
Proper Care:
Gentle dusting: use a clean soft cloth (such as eyeglasses cloth) to gently dust, if there are fingerprints, dipped in a small amount of distilled water along the direction of the grain and gently wipe, and immediately dry with a dry cloth.
Plating repair: If the local plating off, you can buy the same color metal repair paint (such as gold paint refill pen) to carefully make up the coating, after drying, use a soft cloth to polish to the same luster with the original grain.
Storage points: Avoid putting with keys, jewelry and other sharp objects, it is recommended to put in a separate dust bag, hanging storage (to reduce the deformation of the embossing of the extrusion).
